About Deborah Orida
President and Chief Executive Officer, PSP
Deborah K. Orida is President and Chief Executive Officer at the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments). Ms. Orida joined PSP Investments in September 2022 from the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments), where she was global Head of Real Assets. In that position, she led the global Real Assets department, which encompasses Infrastructure, Sustainable Energies, Real Estate, Sustainable Investing and Portfolio Value Creation. Ms. Orida was also CPP Investments’ first Chief Sustainability Officer.
Prior to leading CPP Investments’ Real Assets department, Ms. Orida was Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Active Equities. She joined CPP Investments in Toronto in 2009 and spent six years in Hong Kong, where she established Relationship Investments Asia and was Head of Private Equity Asia.
Ms. Orida joined CPP Investments after close to a decade at Goldman Sachs, where she held progressively responsible positions in New York and Toronto. She started her career as a securities lawyer at Blake, Cassels & Graydon.
Ms. Orida holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University, and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Orida currently sits on the Board of Directors of Alpine Canada Alpin. She was previously a member of the Board of Directors of Branksome Hall, an independent school for girls; IHS Markit, an S&P 500 company; Nord Anglia Education, a private-equity-owned company; HKBN Ltd., a publicly listed company in Hong Kong; and the Bridgepoint Health Foundation.
