The program will be held virtually and begin in June, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The Fellowship Program is conducted by York University\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/schulich.yorku.ca\/\"><strong>Schulich School of Business<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in Toronto, Canada. In addition to the ILN, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gihub.org\/\"><strong>Global Infrastructure Hub<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(GI-Hub), an initiative of the G20, is a sponsor of the Program.<\/p>\n<p>This executive leadership program offers academic and practical training to public-sector officials in emerging market government ministries, municipalities, organizations, and agencies charged with the development, financing, and operation of infrastructure. By better aligning the expectations of private investors with planners, the Fellowship seeks to increase investment-ready projects, diminish the infrastructure gap, and hasten emerging economies\u2019 sustainable transitions.<\/p>\n<p>Upon successful completion of the Program, Fellows will receive a Master\u2019s Certificate in Sustainable Development and Financing from the Schulich School of Business. This year\u2019s Fellowship is expected to attract upward of 30 participants from across the world.<\/p>\n<p>Amy Hepburn, CEO of the ILN, says, \u201cThe Fellowship was created in response to the urgent need for an increase in sustainable infrastructure, especially in emerging markets. By sponsoring the Sustainable Infrastructure Fellowship Program, Investor Leadership Network members hope to increase the availability of investment-ready projects, which would help increase the flow of private funds into emerging and frontier markets. This program fills a crucial need for capacity building, and I look forward to watching it grow every year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Sustainable Infrastructure Fellowship Program exemplifies the benefits of partnership and collaboration, as we work together to help mobilize private capital towards emerging and frontier markets. The third delivery of the Fellowship comes at a time when closing the infrastructure gap is of increased urgency. It is uniquely positioned to support the sustainable development of infrastructure, via capacity building and promoting an understanding of the investor perspective.
