On May 23-24, the Diversity in Investment Advisory Committee met in London for a two-day working session centered around the four pillars driving the initiative:
- Attracting and Retaining Talents
- Influencing Decision Makers
- Rethinking the Workplace
- Building Accountability
Representatives from the following organizations were present: AIMCo, Allianz, CDPQ, CPPIB, Natixis, OMERS, OPTrust, Ontario Teachers’, PGGM.
The working session was followed by a first Investor Influence Roundtable meeting which gathered senior investment executives from ILN organizations and allowed for discussions on the following objectives:
- Understanding each partner’s D&I practices relevant to their business (asset owner vs. manager)
- Sharing industry leading practices and how they might form the basis of a common baseline proposal
- Discussing challenges and opportunities to collectively accelerate progress
